Third Quarter Market Update



Home sales were up marginally in August, according to the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS, August Home Sales were up 1.7% from past years with still an overall shortage of inventory, however the listing numbers were increased from previous months.

     This was seen across the board with overall sales success in the month, however still an overall frustration from buyers due to lack of inventory.These market conditions make it a great time to be a seller, especially as we go into fall; the strain on inventory combined with the serious pool of buyers looking at houses plays a crucial role in seller success. Click here to watch my 2 minute video on the benefits of selling in fall and winter. 

    Conversely, September home sales were down 5.2% from 2016, with a 1% increase in the median sales price and a -3.6% change in inventory. What this means is that the shortage or lack of properties is affecting how many homes are being sold, And also driving sale prices up for the homes that are currently listed.
